Check it out:

🔔 FLICS 3.2 — major release — New release

FLICS 3.2 is out. This release includes backend updates and a full UI refresh, making the platform faster and more consistent across complex workflows.

🔔 Text, image, and video overlay with alpha support — New feature

You can now burn in text, images, or video overlays at scale, with full alpha transparency support across all supported formats.

🔔 Same as source preservation — New feature

FLICS can now automatically preserve source video parameters without the need to build complex analysis and transcoding workflows. This makes it easier to maintain original source settings while still transcoding into the desired delivery codec and format.

🔔 Auto-rotate for mobile workflows — New feature

FLICS now detects orientation and rotates automatically.

Hiscale is headed to MPTS 2026 (May 13-14) at the Olympia Grand Hall! We’re joining forces with Backlight and CCKTech to show you what scalable transcoding can do. Find us at booth B42, right by the entrance.

Why visit us?

✅ Elasticity: Scale your transcoding power when it counts—save compute costs when it doesn’t.
✅ Control: Run on-prem, in the cloud, or hybrid. Your infrastructure, your terms.
✅ Speed: See our split-and-stitch tech crush UHD processing times.

Let's connect in London. https://www.hiscale.com/events

Honestly, transcoding is boring, but the love for creating video and sound is at the core of so many who work in media tech.

Come see how we do transcoding so you can think about it less.

We'd love to show you what that can look like.
See you in Vegas. 👋
